In March 2020, when the Coronavirus emerged in the Washington metropolitan area and churches were not permitted to congregate because of the potential spread of the disease, the Pavilion of God held worship services on this Blog Talk radio platform. What a blessing it was to have this platform at the ready for the high purpose of praise and worship!
Typically, programs discuss everything from pop culture to politics, sexuality to spirituality, education to economics. Rev. Alethea is an avowed seeker of truth and “revs up”, accelerates and energizes your thinking about life and all of its complexities and contradictions!
In addition, to being the Pastor of the Pavilion of God, Rev. Alethea is a Pastoral Counselor and Imago Therapy Life Coach who shares her counseling insights about individual emotional healing, relationships, and parenting. She is also connected with a broad national community of religious and spiritual people, denominations, and organizations from all faith traditions dedicated to achieving justice for people of color and those on the margin.
Rev. Alethea is also thankful to be a Breast Cancer “overcomer” and leads a faith-based ministry, STAND, that seeks to advance breast cancer awareness and prevention among African American women and women of color.
From coast to coast, she provides leadership training for both ministers and lay leaders and is a professional facilitator and a frequent guest preacher.
